She is rooted in Mother Earth and her cycles. She feeds on power from the Sun giving back to the Mother a blessing. One side of her hair is done as the Maiden, the other side is free and untamed. She is part of the people she feeds but also part of the unknown and unpredictable source. The corn is planted from seeds saved from the previous cycle, and now it is ripe to be transformed into food for the people and for another year.
